UMLA Late Models return to Moberly

MOBERLY, MO (May 29, 2011) - In the final weekend of  what was a unusually wet month, mother nature allowed  for a wonderful night of racing. A total of  63 racing teams came to the track to compete in the nights events.

In the first feature of the night it was Devin Still leading the way and getting his first win of the 2011 season. In the Hobby Stocks a few drivers made the long haul from Northern Missouri and even a couple from Iowa.  When the checkerd flag fell it was Andrew Husted from Rutledge, Missouri taking the win. Tim Pettibone of Iowa was 2^nd and Tim Dawson in 3^rd.

The next two races involved a couple sets of brothers leading their respective races. In the Sportsmods it was Billy Bentley of Madison leading most of the race untill Kiel and Cody Erwin made a hard charge. Eventually Bentley had a tire go down and allowing the Erwin brothers to take the lead. Cody Erwin and his 36 machine eventually took the win. It was his first win of the season.. Kiel Erwin finished 2^nd and Steve Robinson finished 3^rd.

With six sportsman taking the track it provided some of the best racing of the night. Cody Agee and brother Derrick took the front row and the early lead. After several laps of side by side racing it was Derrick who eventually took the advantage and went on to his first win of the young season.

In the final race of the night it was the UMLA Late Models taking the track for 20 laps of  racing action. After several exciting caution filled laps it was Justin Reed of Quincy taking home the $1000 first place check.
